Is LinkedIn Premium Worth It?

A review of the features of LinkedIn Premium.

LinkedIn is a valuable professional social media network.

Individuals display what amounts to their resume on their profile, and connect with others in their personal and professional life, amounting to an online network of peers.  There are many ways individuals use LinkedIn, such as keeping up with peers, sharing professional news, announcing job openings, reading publications from industry titans and professionals, and even to search for new employment or business opportunities.

Most individuals are satisfied with these features, which are free to use.  However, LinkedIn also offers several paid plans, called LinkedIn Premium.

Unplug Your Facebook (But Maintain Contacts)

Often times when we are feeling down on ourselves, we compound the issue by comparing ourselves to others.

Social media, especially Facebook, only makes this worse.  While Facebook has the benefit of keeping one in contact with family and friends, news feeds are often a waste of productivity and paint an inaccurate picture of what is actually happening in people’s lives.  However, it is possible to deactivate Facebook itself, while maintaining valuable contacts through the Facebook Messenger.  This is a why and how guide to doing just that.

We’re slumping. What do we do?

Rock bottom is a harsh term. It infers that there is nowhere lower to go.  That everything negative that can happen, has happened. When one hits rock bottom, there is nowhere to go but up.

This experiment isn’t for those who have nowhere else to go but up. This is for those still caught in a crossroads. For those who are at a point where yes, things can get worse. But they can also get better.

Maybe you’ve made some poor life choices that have led you to this point. Maybe you haven’t made poor choices, but you are stuck in a place in which you do not want to be. Maybe you can see what you want, but don’t know how to get there. Maybe you can’t see what you want yet, but know you don’t want what’s in front of you.

This experiment is for you, for me, for us.

On this website, I will offer tips, review life-changing or life-improving products, self-help books and chronicle my attempts at rebuilding. I am a 36 year old man, twice-divorced, no children with a history of self-sabotage, a major legal issue and a sloppy attempt at a career change.

Have I hit my rock bottom? Not at all. The choices I make over the next year will determine if I go in that direction, or in a direction that will make my life better.

I am not where I want to be. But I can get there. We can get there. Let’s help each other.
